화이트 큐브를 대체할 투명큐브
이 작업은 우리가 예술 작품을 접하는 변화한 장소의 고민으로 부터 시작했다.
다양한 영상과 디지털 매체가 당연해 지면서, 우리는 화이트의 상태에서 진화한
투명한 빈 공간에 모든것을 경험한다. 입체적인 물건들로 가득찬 일상생활에서 벗어난
스크린 안의 세상은 투명 공간에 놓여진 납작한 레이어들로 구성이 되어있다.
사방으로 둘러싸고 있는 보드의 색상은 디지털 세계의 ‘투명’을 뜻하는 색으로 선택됐다.
아무것도 채워지지 않은 투명한 상태의 이 보드 들은 틀 안에서 자유롭게 재배치 된다.
또한 조립하는 사람에 따라 제자리에 놓여지지 않고 섞일 수도 있다.
그 안에 놓여지는 사물은 투명 큐브 안에 놓여지는 순간 일상의 공간에서 벗어나
디지털 공간에 놓여지는 경험을 하게 된다.

A transparent cube to replace the white cube.
This work began with the concern of a changed place where we encounter artworks.
Since we got used to various videos and digital media,
we have been slowly expanding our scope beyond white areas over the last few years.
We expected something new to be filled in the empty white space.
However, now we experience everything in a transparent and empty space.
It's a place where you can escape from your daily life filled with natural 3D objects.
The world on the screen consists of flat layers placed in a transparent space.
The color of boards surrounding in all directions were chosen as the color meaning "transparent" of the digital world.
These transparent boards, filled with nothing, are freely rearranged within the frame.
It can also be mixed without being placed in place, depending on the person assembling it.
The moment things are placed in a transparent cube, they leave the space of their daily lives.
They can experience being placed in a digital space.
